Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs on mechanical systems including transmissions, powertrain components, suspension, shocks & struts, brakes, and steering systems.
- Execute routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to uphold safety standards.
- Repair or replace diesel engines and heavy equipment mechanics components with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for mechanical repairs, welding, and auto body work when necessary.
- Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical problems efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
Requirements
- Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with dealership experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across automotive systems including diesel engines, transmissions, powertrain, electrical systems, and suspension components.
- Familiarity with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brake systems, auto estimating procedures, and GM vehicle repairs is a plus.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic software and schematics for precise troubleshooting.
- Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery safely and effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to vehicle maintenance and repair tasks.
- Valid mechanic certification or relevant technical training; ASE certification is advantageous.
