Registered Behavior Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality behavioral therapy to individuals, particularly those on the autism spectrum. As an RBT, you will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement treatment plans and support clients in achieving their goals. This position requires a strong understanding of behavioral health principles and a commitment to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans as directed by the BCBA.
• Provide direct support to clients in various settings, including home, school, and community environments.
• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and promote independence.
• Monitor client progress and document behavioral data accurately.
• Educate clients and their families about behavioral strategies and techniques.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations regarding patient information.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

Experience

• Previous experience in behavioral therapy or related fields is preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and medical records management is beneficial.
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies for working with individuals with autism is essential.
• A background in patient care or behavioral health will be advantageous.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
