What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Operator position at A&D Environmental Services?
· Engages in strenuous physical labor including lifting, pulling and pushing heavy objects including 55 gallon drums.
· Loads and unloads drums, containers and other materials as required.
· Keeps warehouse organized and clean.
· Performs load counts to verify numbers and types of containers on inbound and outbound loads.
· Performs appropriate evaluation and/or testing on incoming and outgoing loads to ensure compliance with Waste Acceptance procedures.
· Operates heavy equipment and other material handling equipment including excavator in tight spaces
· Secures loads on trucks and trailers in accordance with Company safety rules.
- Performs other duties and tasks as assigned by management and required by the needs of the Company.
· Ability to perform equipment assessment before, during and after use and perform appropriate maintenance of equipment (greasing, cleaning, daily required maintenance, etc.)
· Ability to safely load and unload trucks and trailers loaded with drums, totes and supersacks.
· Ability to safely load and unload tankers, vacuum boxes and roll-off boxes with waste materials including hydroblasting
· Ability to safely operate various types of material handling equipment including powered industrial trucks, hydraulic excavators, and front-end loaders.
· Ability to review paperwork for incoming loads, load and unload tankers, mix waste in the stabilization pit, load dump trucks, dump trailers and roll-off boxes.
· Ability to lift 50 pounds.
· Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding and into and out of trucks, tanks and various other containers.
CDL A or B license preferred
· Ability to work extended (> 8 hrs.) time periods.
- Must be able to work flexible hours beyond the normal schedule when necessary.
· May be called upon to fill in as Environmental Technician I, II or III as business dictates.
