Responsibilities
- Assist senior electricians with electrical systems installation on construction sites, including wiring, conduit bending, and electrical blueprint interpretation.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to support accurate installation and troubleshooting.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to install low voltage and high voltage electrical systems according to NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards) and NEC (National Electrical Code) guidelines.
- Conduct conduit bending, electrical wiring, and system connections following established safety protocols and industry standards.
- Support the installation of commercial electrical systems such as lighting, outlets, switches, and control panels while adhering to safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by following construction site safety protocols and ensuring proper handling of electrical components.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while prioritizing safety, quality, and compliance with all relevant codes.
Skills
- Prior experience is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of NFPA 70 compliance standards for electrical safety.
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
- Experience with conduit bending, electrical wiring, and installing commercial electrical systems.
- Knowledge of electrical safety procedures and adherence to safety protocols on construction sites.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment safely.
- Familiarity with low voltage and high voltage electrical work within commercial environments.
- Construction site experience with a focus on safety protocol adherence.
- Basic frame carpentry skills are a plus for supporting structural components during installations.
