Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Painter / Helper / Construction Worker to join our dynamic team. This role involves assisting with various painting and construction projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial sites. Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting through sanding, scraping, and cleaning
- Apply paint, stain, or coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment such as airless paint sprayers
- Assist with demolition, renovation, and remodeling tasks on construction sites
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for project specifications
- Handle hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks including caulking, trim carpentry, plastering, and fixture installation
- Perform basic carpentry tasks such as framing, trim work, and masonry repairs
- Assist with concrete finishing, stucco application, masonry work, and restoration projects
- Measure accurately using basic math skills to ensure proper dimensions and fitment
- Support the team with general maintenance and site cleanup to ensure safety and efficiency
- Follow safety protocols at all times while working on construction sites
Experience
- Prior experience in residential or commercial painting is preferred
- Construction site experience including renovation or restoration projects is advantageous
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating is a plus
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and airless paint spraying techniques
- Knowledge of color theory and various painting techniques such as industrial painting or specialty coatings
- Skills in carpentry (including trim carpentry and frame carpentry), plastering, caulking, masonry, concrete finishing, and fixture installation are desirable
- Experience with maintenance person tasks such as maintenance or remodeling projects is beneficial
- Ability to work on multiple projects requiring basic math skills for measurements and calculations
