Responsibilities
- PROVIDE GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE: Greet customers warmly and assist with their buying, selling, or loan needs in a friendly, professional manner
- Evaluate merchandise for pawn or resale value using basic math and retail math principles
- Process cash transactions accurately, including cash drawer handling and cash management procedures
- Enter data into financial software systems to record transactions, loans, and inventory details
- Maintain the security of the cash register area and ensure compliance with store policies on cash handling and cashiering
- Pass a criminal background check
- Ability to lift 50lbs , use a staircase throughout work shiftQualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or retail store environments preferred; experience in banking or financial services is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Basic math skills necessary for calculating loan amounts, interest rates, and transaction totals as well as the ability to transcribe numbers accurately
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Experience with loan processing and collections is advantageous but not required; training will be provided
- Preffered: Knowledge in any or all of the following departments: Electronics, jewelry, musical instruments, tools or firearms.
