We are a busy Whole Animal Butcher Shop in Santa Monica. We are looking to add to our already stellar team.We are in need of highly motivated, enthusiastic individuals who possess great people skills, wonderful interpersonal phone presence, strong detailed oriented organizational skills in a fast-paced team environment. Of course a love a food and especially MEAT! Restaurant/Deli experience and the ability to think and sell on your feet is a bonus.We are a busy butcher shop with many moving parts.*Phone Etiquette Required as we accept orders via the phone lines*Be knowledgeable about our butchered cuts of meat*Offer suggestions and answer customer questions, Up sell!!*Take our guests' orders accurately and efficiently, always providing great customer service*Detailed and organized in a busy environment*Multitask and support other areas of the shop as needed, stock merchandiser, and complete tasks assigned by the floor manager*ServSafe CA Food Handler's Card and knowledge of protocol is a must, attention to procedural detailsOther responsibilities include:*Wrapping, weighing & labeling of butchered cuts*Proper use of deli slicer, knife handling skills*Work the POS register, cash handling experience*Following strict Opening/Closing procedures*Daily cleaning along with constant upkeep of the entire shop*Customer appreciation skills always a mustWe are NOT currently hiring butchers however we are willing to train the right candidate. This is a customer service facing butcher shop.
