Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will aid engineers in designing, testing, and manufacturing mechanical devices. Tech must work alongside Mechanical Engineers to ensure the quality and efficiency of machines and mechanical equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in Design and Development: Collaborate with engineers to design mechanical systems and components, drafting of blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Testing and Analysis: Conduct tests on mechanical systems, collect and analyze data to troubleshooting issues and improve performance alongside mechanical engineers.
- Installation and Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment, ensuring all operations comply with project health and safety regulations.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of processes, equipment performance, and modifications made during testing and repairs-
- Quality Control: Perform quality inspection alongside Quality Control department to ensure quality. Provide recommendations for improvements in mechanical processes and efficiencies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related fields and/or 5 years of experience in the mechanical equipment trade.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, and proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks and Inventor. Basic knowledge of MS windows suite
- Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical skills to troubleshoot mechanical failures in compress air, water, hydraulic, electrical, motors, power transmissions, and vacuum systems.
- Communication Skills: Ability to discuss design changes and coordinate with Engineering department and able to work well on teams with strong interpersonal communication skills.
