A-Class Home Care LLC is a brand-new home care agency. Our formal licensing and registration application has been submitted to the State of New Jersey, and we are currently awaiting our final official registration number.
We are actively building our caregiver directory and conducting interviews now so that you are fully onboarded and ready to accept cases the moment our final operating approval is issued (estimated within the coming weeks). Job Summary
A-Class Home Care LLC is seeking compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Certified Home Health Aides (CHHAs) to provide high-quality, personalized care to clients in the comfort of their own homes. Under the direction and supervision of our Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Director, you will assist seniors and individuals with disabilities with daily living activities, ensuring they remain safe, comfortable, and independent.
Core Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with essential activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
- Mobility Support: Safely assist clients with transfers (bed to chair), walking, turning, and positioning, utilizing proper body mechanics and assistive devices as outlined in the RN Care Plan.
- Meal Preparation & Nutrition: Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary guidelines and assist with feeding if required.
- Light Housekeeping: Perform light domestic duties to maintain a clean and safe environment, including tidying the client’s care area, washing dishes, and light laundry.
- Companionship & Emotional Support: Provide meaningful conversation, mental stimulation, and compassionate companionship.
- Documentation & Reporting: Observe client behavior, physical condition, and safety hazards, reporting any significant changes immediately to the RN Supervisor or Agency Administrator.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Certification: Must hold a current, valid Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) license issued by the New Jersey Board of Nursing. (Active CNAs willing to convert to CHHA are welcome to apply).
- Medical Clearances: Must provide proof of a physical exam (completed within the last 12 months) and 2-step TB test results or a clear chest X-ray.
- Background Check: Must be legally authorized to work in the US and pass a mandatory state-required criminal history background check and fingerprinting.
- Reliability: Strict punctuality and a strong commitment to your scheduled case hours.
- Language: Ability to read, write, and effectively communicate in English (Bilingual Spanish is a plus).
