Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead After School Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and supervising the after-school program and Summer camp in accordance with the philosophy and policies of A Child's Academy.
Responsibilities:
- Provide primary care and supervision for a group of school aged children.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the group.
- Plan and implement engaging and developmentally appropriate activities.
- Set up and maintain an organized, appealing, and safe learning environment.
- Demonstrate knowledge of good teaching practices and child development.
- Communicate effectively with parents and staff.
- Participate in staff meetings and ongoing training.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; college credits in Early Childhood Education preferred.
- Minimum of two years of experience working with young children in a childcare center setting.
- Certified in Infant and Child First Aid and CPR.
- Current on 40-hour DCF course.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to different roles as needed.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
