REPORTS TO: Campus Principal
JOB GOAL: To assist the Campus Principal in creating an efficient office
PAY GRADE: EA Scale FLSA: Non-Exempt
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Demonstrates competence and aptitude for assigned responsibilities
2. Above average proficiency in typing
3. Performs assignments on own initiative
4. Attends all staff meeting and takes minutes that will be typed and filed
5. Attends and Serves on the Campus Improvement Committee as the secretary
6. Upon request, calls for reference checks on prospective new hires
7. Submits all purchase orders for the Campus Principal according to district policies
8. Distributes centralized copy materials when needed
9. Maintains a calendar of student activities
10. Good communication skills with all the staff on the campus, parents, and administrators
11. Answers and screens the Campus Principal's phone
12. Serves as office receptionist by welcoming visitors and arranging for their comfort
13. Able to maintain confidentiality on all matters conducted in the Campus Principal's office
14. Schedules appointments for the Campus Principal and up-dated reminders
15. Demonstrates proficient computer/word processor skills
16. Responsible to see that the office is run efficiently and in a business-like manner
17. Maintains accurate financial records regarding the Campus Principal's fund-raising and/or Principal's Fund
18. Counts all money turned into the principal's office, lists it on the proper form, and turns it into the
appropriate campus person in charge of deposits
19. Assists the Campus Principal in assuring a smooth, efficient operation in working with students and staff
20. Shares in the responsibility for the educational mission of the school
21. Serves personal secretary to the principal
22. Notifies and invites special guests to graduation ceremony
23. Assists in supervising and training student office workers
24. Maintains a regular filing system and processes incoming correspondence
25. Assists in the inventorying and ordering of office supplies
26. Arranges for the hospitality of visitors on parent/teacher conference days
27. Works with the principal in coordinating building requisitions sent to the business office
28. Assists in monitoring of budget line items as requested by the Campus Principal
29. Attends any professional growth seminars that are required by the Campus Principal
30. Assists the Athletic Coordinator and Vice-Principals with any other duties upon request
31. Performs such other duties as assigned by the Campus Principal

Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals
Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
Motion: Repetitive hand motions, frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching
Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)
Environment: May work prolonged or irregular hour; occasional districtwide and statewide travel
