Executive Chef – Catering & Hospitality


Are you a creative culinary leader who thrives in fast-paced hospitality environments? We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead all culinary operations across catering, workplace dining, commissary production, and event execution for a growing NYC hospitality company.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is passionate about food, hospitality, operational excellence, and team development.


What You’ll Do

  • Lead all kitchen and back-of-house culinary operations
  • Develop innovative seasonal menus and culinary programming
  • Oversee commissary production, workplace dining, and off-premise catering
  • Manage food quality, presentation, consistency, and execution standards
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and develop culinary teams
  • Maintain food and labor cost controls, inventory, and purchasing
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety and NYC DOH standards
  • Collaborate with sales, operations, and event teams on tastings, proposals, and event execution
  • Drive operational systems, efficiencies, and SOPs across BOH operations


What We’re Looking For

  • 8–10 years of progressive culinary leadership experience
  • Background in luxury catering, hospitality, workplace dining, or high-volume food service
  • Experience managing large-scale production and multi-unit operations
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of food cost controls, labor management, and inventory systems
  • Passion for seasonal, globally inspired cuisine
  • Experience with off-premise catering and event production preferred
  • NYC Food Protection Certificate and/or ServSafe Certification required
  • Experience with Caterease, Orderly, and Microsoft Office is a plus


Schedule & Work Environment

  • Schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Ability to work in fast-paced kitchen environments
  • Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Salary : $125,000 - $150,000
