Purpose of Position: Performs work to keep equipment and structure of an establishment in good repair. Performs preventative, routine, and emergency maintenance on all homes/facilities/offices, and related equipment to ensure safe and sanitary operations in compliance with safety codes and OSHA regulations.
Job Duties Include:
- Providing support for all locations
- Participates in general cleaning, painting, and repair work.
- Performs light plumbing on toilets, sinks, shower/tubs, and other as needed
- Performs preventative maintenance as needed
- Checks building at beginning and end of shifts
- Makes carpentry, electrical, mechanical and plumbing repairs.
- Assists in pest control as required.
- Picks up and delivers supplies and materials to rooms.
- May complete purchase order ensuring receipt is obtained.
Basic Requirements:
- Ability to perform tasks on the computer including working with Microsoft 360, Excel, Word and other basic programs.
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance coverage and reliable transportation
- Pass criminal background check and other regulatory checks
- Provide proof of your education
Education and Experience Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must have working knowledge of repair procedures for walls, flooring, windows, doors, and installation of hardware.
- Must have a working knowledge of painting, plumbing, refrigeration, electrical repairs and maintenance, minor commercial HVAC repairs and knowledge of HVAC components.
- Working knowledge of TPO roof maintenance, refrigeration, auto mechanics, yard work techniques, and related tools.
- Must have experience in securing contractors for outsourcing and have knowledge of pricing for purchase order requests.

A Caring Alternative, LLC is CABHA certified and a Trauma Informed Agency. We provide an array of services to Alexander, Buncombe, Burke, Catawba, Caldwell, Iredell, McDowell, and Mitchell counties which consist of Assertive Community Treatment Team, Community Support Team, Day Treatment, Integrated Care, Intensive In-Home, Medication Management, Outpatient Therapy, and Therapeutic Foster Care.
