What you’ll do
- Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Support individuals with daily living activities and promote their independence.
- Monitor and document vital signs, ensuring accurate medical records are maintained.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans.
- Utilize specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts to ensure safe transfers.
- Maintain a clean, and safe environment while following infection control protocols.
Basic qualifications
- At least 3 months of similar in-home care experience.
- Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Direct Support Worker (DSW), Personal Care Assistant (PCA), or equivalent caregiving experience.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in long-term care settings such as nursing homes or assisted living facilities.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Background in critical care, hospice care, or geriatrics is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in phlebotomy and basic life support (BLS) certification.
