A. Cardillo & Son, Inc. is seeking an experienced Dump Trailer Driver CDL A to join our team. This position involves safely operating CDL vehicles to haul construction materials such as sand, gravel, stone, loam, asphalt, and other aggregates between job sites, yards, and vendors.
Drivers may occasionally be asked to operate other CDL vehicles in our fleet including triaxle dump trucks and 6-wheel dump trucks.
Experience hauling construction equipment using lowbed or tag trailers is a plus but not required. The ability to operate loaders or excavators to load materials is also a plus, but not required.
We are looking for a reliable and professional driver who takes pride in operating clean, well-maintained equipment and working as part of a team.
Participation in snow plowing, sanding, salting, and snow hauling operations is expected when required.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate CDL vehicles with primary focus on dump trailer hauling
- Haul sand, gravel, stone, loam, asphalt, and other construction materials
- Occasionally operate triaxle and 6-wheel dump trucks
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Secure loads and operate equipment safely
- Maintain assigned truck in clean and professional condition
- Complete driver logs and paperwork
- Communicate with dispatch and field crews regarding delivery timing
- Assist with jobsite support tasks when needed
- Participate in snow plowing, sanding, salting, and snow hauling operations when required
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license required
- Minimum of 2 years dump trailer experience preferred
- Potential candidates with multiple years in construction driving Triaxles and/or 10 Wheel Dumps, with a passion for the industry, a clean driving record, and have strong references will be considered
- Construction industry experience preferred
- Experience operating triaxles or 6-wheel dump trucks a plus
- Lowbed or tag trailer experience a plus but not required
- Loader or excavator experience a plus but not required
- 2A Hoisting License a plus but not required
- Strong work ethic and reliability
Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time
- Full-Time Hours: 40-55 hrs per week
- Part-Time Hours: Up to 30 hrs per week
