What are the responsibilities and job description for the MARKETING / PATRON SERVICES ASSISTANT position at A.C.T. of Connecticut?
RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to):
MARKETING:
- Create and maintain marketing calendar. Ensure deadlines are noted and flagged for Producing Director and Artistic Director.
- Schedule and participate in marketing meetings, as needed.
- Ensure that approval deadlines are set and met, well in advance of media deadlines
- Generate and create calendar and all content to be approved for use on social media, e-blasts, or other forms of media.
- Distribute approved press releases for each production, and as needed for the promotion of the theatre upon advisement by theatre management.
- Assist in creation of new opportunities for partnership, marketing and promotion.
- Oversight, organization and execution of community partner displays for productions and events ie: Books on the Common displays, Rodier Window displays, etc… this is to be discussed with the Artistic Director and the partnership team in advance of deadlines and creative vision then to be executed and communicated with the community partners in a timely and clear manner.
- Interact with local community and theater partners to distribute posters, lamppost banners, flyers, and other marketing materials.
- Correspond with marketing contacts to submit copy, images, or other required information in advance of deadlines.
- Maintain files on dropbox for each production (to include all press clippings, marketing information and ads).
- Send out approved invitations to marketing partners, critics, groups, etc… as instructed by management.
- Coordinate (or facilitate) photos and / or video for all theater programming for use in social media, press, and / or website.
- Learn Mailchimp or other mailing list / e-blast platform to be able to add patrons and members.
PATRON SERVICES
- Assist with day-to-day ticket sales, including in-person and phone sales as well as day of show box office sales.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patrons. Reply to patron emails and phone calls as needed.
- Make outgoing calls to patrons regarding program or event changes and new services or offerings as necessary.
- Under supervision of Patron Services Coordinator, reserve appropriate number of producer seats, creative team, VIP and press holds for every performance. Process complimentary tickets as needed.
- Database maintenance: Adding accounts to the database, updating and correcting patron information.
- Build flyers and outreach materials in Canva.
- Perform Front of House duties as needed throughout the run of the performance.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $36,000.00 per year
