Job Description: Job Title: School-Based Team Leader Location: Indianapolis, IN (IPS District & Charter Schools) Department: School-Based Services Employment Type: Full-time Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. **Sign On Bonus $10,000 Job Summary: Are you an experienced behavioral health professional passionate about supporting students, families, and clinicians in a school-based setting? Join our team as a School-Based Team Leader and help shape the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based services. In this role, you will provide clinical oversight, staff supervision, and operational leadership to ensure effective service delivery, regulatory compliance, and positive outcomes for students and families. Our ideal candidate has advanced clinical knowledge, strong supervisory skills, and a collaborative approach to building relationships across schools, families, and community providers. This position offers the opportunity to combine direct clinical care with program development and leadership responsibilities. Facilitate clinical staff meetings, diagnostic disposition reviews, and weekly team staffings. Review clinical records and monitor compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. Provide clinical oversight and supervision to assigned staff, identifying strengths and providing corrective coaching when needed. Ensure timely completion of intakes, assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes. Promote integration of clinical services with school and community supports. Monitor service delivery to ensure appropriateness, frequency, and intensity of services provided. Maintain direct clinical hours, providing individual, family, and/or group therapy as required. Support transition planning and ensure continuity of care for all clients. Develop program schedules that meet the needs of student populations while protecting client rights. Participate in fiscal planning, program budgeting, and compliance with allocated funds. Provide crisis intervention, respond to emergencies, and ensure incident reporting is completed according to policy. Assist in recruitment, hiring, training, and evaluations of team members. Ensure ongoing staff training and professional development. Collaborate with leadership to implement continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives. Oversee program safety, cleanliness, and compliance with operational standards. Education and/or Experience Qualifications: Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Psychiatric Nursing, or closely related field. At least three (3) years of professional experience in behavioral health or substance use disorder treatment. Minimum of one (1) year supervisory experience in clinical or behavioral health services. Alternatively: Bachelor’s degree with four (4) years of behavioral health experience and two (2) years of supervisory experience. Qualified Addiction Professional (QAP) or Indiana state licensure as LPC, LCSW, LMFT, Psychologist, or Physician may substitute experience requirements. Required License/Certification (one of the following): Active Indiana license as a Clinical Social Worker, Counselor, Psychologist, Psychiatrist, or Physician with specialized training in behavioral health. Additional Qualifications: Thorough knowledge of clinical best practices and evidence-based interventions. Strong supervisory, coaching, and staff development skills. Skilled in compliance monitoring, record review, and quality improvement. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with schools, families, and community stakeholders.
