What are the responsibilities and job description for the Life Skills Instructor position at A Brand New Day?
A Brand New Day, a specialty practice for children with autism and other behavioral needs, is looking for Life Skills Instructor/Behavior Technicians(BT)/Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) to join our growing team.
As a Life Skills Instructor/Behavior Technician, you will provide behavior therapy to support and encourage growth and skill development, assisting in the delivery of behavioral and treatment goals. Simply put, your work will directly change the lives of children with autism. Individuals with backgrounds as a paraprofessional (para), direct care worker, life skills instructor, ABA therapist, and other human services fields are also encouraged to apply.
- Work one-on-one with children to provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy with the support and direction of a BCBA
- Assist with data collection and clinical reporting of child learning progress
- Collaborate with treatment team, including other Behavior Technicians (BT's), Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT's), and BCBA's
- Participate in on-going training in order to further develop skills and working knowledge
Required Skills
- Prior work experience (1-2 years) with individuals with Autism
- An Associates degree or 60 credits in a related Human Services field
- Must have a reliable transportation
- Must be able to work afternoons and evenings
