Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential care and support to individuals in various settings such as personal care homes, retirement homes, and group homes.
Duties
- Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Administer medication under the direction of healthcare professionals
- Help with household tasks including meal preparation, light housekeeping, and laundry
- Monitor and record vital signs of clients
- Assist clients with mobility needs including lifting and transferring
- Drive clients to appointments or outings as needed
Skills
- Experience in home care or long-term care settings
- Knowledge of first aid procedures
- Ability to lift and assist with mobility needs
- Proficient in driving for client transportation
- Familiarity with personal care home environments
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication and building relationships with clients
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
