Duties
- Deliver engaging STEM/STEAM lessons tailored to different age groups, incorporating hands-on experiments, projects, and creative arts activities
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a safe, inclusive, and productive learning environment
- Prepare educational materials and resources that align with curriculum standards and age-appropriate developmental levels
- Supervise children during activities, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
- Collaborate with team members to plan special events, camps, or themed programs that promote STEM/STEAM learning experiences
- Maintain accurate attendance records and student progress reports
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student development and program updates
Skills
- Strong classroom management abilities to foster a positive learning atmosphere
- Experience working with children across diverse age ranges, including elementary to middle school
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies
- Ability to implement first aid protocols, CPR, AED operation, and adhere to safety standards for emergency response
- Background in special education or experience supporting children with unique needs is a plus
- Excellent teaching skills with a focus on engaging students through interactive methods such as tutoring or camp experience
- Ability to connect creatively with students
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children during extracurricular activities such as youth sports or theater programs
