We’re a growing staffing company looking for a hands-on IT generalist to keep our team productive and our IT environment organized. This role is a mix of day-to-day IT operations, office/field support, and making our internal tools actually stick through simple documentation and short trainings.
If you like fixing problems and writing down the fix so it doesn’t happen again, you’ll fit well here.
IT operations (accounts & access)
- Create/disable accounts and manage access in Google Workspace and Microsoft 365
- Support password resets, MFA/2FA setup, and basic access troubleshooting
- Keep user access organized (groups/shared resources) and follow standards
Device management, inventory, and security hygiene
- Set up and support Windows laptops/desktops (and occasional mobile devices such as iPads)
- Maintain a clean inventory of computers, printers, and office tech (who has what, where it is, what’s configured)
- Enforce and audit security hygiene like multi-factor authentication and full-disk encryption (BitLocker), and follow up until issues are resolved
- Assist with mobile device deployment and management (iPads) using an MDM approach
Support (HQ travel)
- Help staff with common issues (logins, printing, workstation setup, basic troubleshooting)
- Travel to other offices as needed (~25%) to assist with onsite support and office setup changes
Enablement (docs training)
- Maintain our internal knowledge base and keep it practical and up to date
- Create “no‑brainer” guides and run quick 10–15 minute walkthroughs when we introduce a tool or workflow
Spreadsheets & light automation
- Improve reliability of Google Sheets workflows (fix formulas, add validation/protection, reduce breakage)
- Help with small automation tasks that remove repetitive work (training and guidance provided)
- Fewer repeat questions because answers are documented and easy to find
- Devices and printers are tracked, labeled, and consistent across offices
- MFA/encryption compliance improves and stays that way
- Internal tools get used because training and follow-through exist
- 1–3 years experience in IT support/helpdesk/field tech (or strong hands-on experience that clearly shows you can do the work)
- Comfortable supporting Windows 10/11 in a business environment
- Familiar with Google Workspace and/or Microsoft 365 admin basics (or can learn quickly)
- Organized and reliable: can follow checklists, document work, and keep inventory accurate
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel (~25%)
- Able to lift/move ~40–50 lbs of equipment when needed
- Any experience with device management (MDM), endpoint security tools, remote support tools
- Basic networking comfort (printers, IPs, Wi‑Fi basics)
- PowerShell, Google Apps Script, or general automation curiosity
- PTO: 1 week paid vacation 1 week sick leave to start (increases over time)
- Business travel is covered. Mileage is reimbursed at the IRS standard mileage rate when using a personal vehicle. Hotel per‑diem provided when overnight travel is required. Company gas card provided for business travel.
- Background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) check may be required for this travel role.
