Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Plumbing Foreman to lead and oversee plumbing projects on construction sites. This role involves managing a team of skilled plumbers, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and delivering high-quality plumbing installations and repairs. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for construction plumbing. As a Plumbing Foreman, you will coordinate daily operations, interpret blueprints and schematics, and ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to code standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise plumbing crews on construction sites, assigning tasks and monitoring progress to meet project deadlines
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute plumbing installations accurately
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, building codes, and project specifications
- Oversee the use of hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, welding equipment, and other construction tools
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to facilitate smooth workflow and resolve issues promptly
- Conduct quality inspections of plumbing work including pipe fitting, remodeling, maintenance tasks, and system testing
- Manage inventory of materials such as pipes, fittings, fixtures, and tools; ensure proper usage and storage
Skills
- Extensive experience in construction plumbing with a solid understanding of HVAC systems and mechanical principles
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to plumbing systems
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, welding equipment, and other construction tools
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols on construction sites including heavy lifting techniques
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and material estimations
- Experience in carpentry, remodeling projects, or handyman tasks is a plus
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or ability to operate vehicles for site transportation is preferred
