Job Type: Full-Time | Hourly (Maximum 40 Hours/Week)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch)

Position Summary

We're seeking a Production Project Manager to oversee the production workflow for a wide variety of custom signage projects.

This position combines project management, production planning, shop drawing creation, graphic design, and hands-on manufacturing knowledge. You'll coordinate multiple jobs simultaneously, ensuring each project moves efficiently through every stage of production while maintaining quality standards and meeting deadlines.

The ideal candidate enjoys solving problems, being organized, and keeping production running smoothly in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Success in Your First 90 Days

By the end of your first 90 days, you should be able to:

• Confidently manage multiple signage projects from start to finish.
• Create accurate production files and detailed shop drawings using CorelDRAW and Adobe Illustrator.
• Coordinate workflow between design, printing, routing, laser engraving, painting, fabrication, assembly, and shipping.
• Understand our production processes, materials, and quality standards.
• Identify workflow bottlenecks and help keep projects on schedule.
• Communicate effectively with management and production staff while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage multiple custom signage projects simultaneously.
• Track jobs through every phase of production.
• Coordinate workflow between design, fabrication, printing, routing, engraving, painting, assembly, and shipping.
• Prepare and verify production-ready artwork and manufacturing files.
• Produce detailed production shop drawings and ADA signage layouts.
• Help spearhead the company’s use of AI in design, proofing and fabrication
• Update and maintain standardized pricing models
• Ensure artwork and file storage guidelines are adhered to by all production employees
• Monitor schedules, prioritize workloads, and communicate project status.
• Perform quality control throughout production.
• Troubleshoot production issues and help improve shop efficiency.

Required Skills

Candidates should be highly proficient in:

• Project Management/Organizational Skills
• CorelDRAW and/or Adobe Illustrator
• Production file setup
• Custom signage manufacturing

Strongly Preferred:

• Production shop drawing creation
• ADA-compliant signage layouts and manufacturing
• Experience in commercial signage, engraving, or graphics production

Preferred Equipment Experience

Experience with one or more of the following is preferred:

• Large-format UV printers – Roll-to-roll and/or Flat bed
• CNC routers
• CO₂ and fiber lasers
• Vinyl cutters
• Laminators
• Paint equipment
• Engraving equipment
• General fabrication tools

Forklift experience is a plus but not required.

General Requirements

• Use measuring tools accurately, including tape measures, levels, and squares.
• Apply basic math involving fractions and decimals.
• Safely operate hand tools and power equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Assist with warehouse organization, material handling, and general production duties.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
• Stand for extended periods and climb ladders when necessary.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in team building and supervision
• Minimum 2 years of experience in signage production.
• Minimum 2 years using Adobe Illustrator.
• Minimum 2 years using CorelDRAW.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Strong proofreading and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects.
• Professional communication skills.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude.
