The Delivery Manager oversees all aspects of the delivery operations. This role supervises drivers, monitors performance and collaborates with warehouse staff to meet organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily delivery operations, ensuring timely and accurate product distribution.
- Manage and train delivery staff.
- Provide delivery support by covering routes or riding along when necessary.
- Open and prepare the warehouse for daily operations while managing overall building security and safety as required.
- Handle escalated delivery issues and resolve customer concerns promptly.
- Monitor driver performance, safety and compliance with company policies.
- Hold monthly meetings with team to set and evaluate monthly, quarterly and yearly goals.
- Ensure trucks and equipment are properly serviced and maintained.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s license with clean driving record
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 2 years driving experience
- 1 years experience in warehouse or distribution environment
- 1 years experience as a supervisor or manager
- Knowledge of DOT regulations, FMCSA compliance and safety standards
- Ability to operate pallet jacks, hand trucks and other warehouse/delivery equipment
- Ability to obtain pallet jack and forklift certifications
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Excel and Word
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field from a four-year college or university
- 3 years experience in the beverage distribution industry
- 3 years experience as a supervisor or manager
