Description
The Warehouse Manager will oversee daily warehouse operations for a fast-paced beverage distribution company. This role requires strong leadership skills to lead warehouse staff, coordinate inbound and outbound activities, oversee inventory management and maintain strong operational standards to support timely and accurate deliveries.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage and develop a team of warehouse staff, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement to ensure efficient operations.
- Direct and control daily warehouse operations, including workflow for pickers, inbound and outbound trucks and dock management.
- Ensure warehouse readiness each day by evaluating, organizing and helping replenish stock to support picker activity.
- Supervise and assist in pulling orders in preparation for the next morning’s delivery.
- Assist as needed with receiving and unloading inbound deliveries.
- Operate and oversee loading processes, including safe and accurate truck loading.
- Move trucks/vans within the warehouse or between designated locations as required.
- Ensure that workplace’s health and safety requirements are met.
- Hold monthly meetings with team to evaluate execution of safety standards and performance goals.
- Manage security, housekeeping and overall facility upkeep.
- Follow all requirements written in handbook and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- 3 years’ experience in warehouse or distribution environment
- 1 years’ experience as a supervisor or manager
- Comfortable working in varying warehouse temperatures
- Ability to obtain Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) certification to safely operate warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jack etc.)
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field from a four-year college or university
- 3 years’ experience in the beverage distribution industry
- 3 years’ experience as a supervisor or manager
Physical Requirements:?This role requires regular standing, walking and reaching. Must be able to regularly lift and move products ranging from 25 to 170 pounds, as well as climb, reach, and perform other physical movements necessary to carry out the essential duties of the position. Work is performed in a warehouse environment where steel-toed footwear is required.
