JOB SUMMARY
A & Associates is seeking compassionate and dependable Home Health Aides (HHAs) to provide in-home care and support to clients throughout the Richmond, Virginia area. Under the direction of a registered nurse, supervisor, or designated healthcare professional, the Home Health Aide assists clients with daily living activities, personal care, and companionship while promoting independence, dignity, safety, and overall well-being.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
· This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
· Works under the direction of a registered nurse or designated supervisor.
· Assists with orienting new staff as assigned.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
· Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
· Assist with mobility, transfers, ambulation, and positioning.
· Prepare light meals and assist with feeding when necessary.
· Perform light housekeeping related to client care.
· Monitor and report changes in the client's condition.
· Assist with medication reminders as permitted by law and agency policy.
· Provide companionship and emotional support.
· Maintain accurate documentation of services provided.
· Follow infection control, safety, and confidentiality requirements.
· Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· Current Home Health Aide (HHA) certification in accordance with Virginia requirements.
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
· Minimum of 1 year of home health, personal care, or caregiving experience preferred.
· Current CPR certification preferred.
· Ability to pass all required pre-employment screenings.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
· Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday.
· Ability to safely assist clients with mobility and transfers.
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
· Ability to travel to client homes throughout the assigned service area.
· Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
