Job Description:
We are currently seeking a motivated and caring individual to join our team as a full-time Veterinary Assistant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians in routine examinations, treatments, and surgeries.
- Provide compassionate care to animals, ensuring their well-being and comfort.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in exam rooms, kennels, and common areas.
- Handle and restrain animals during procedures and examinations.
- Educate clients on proper pet care and medication administration.
- Support the veterinary team in various administrative tasks as needed.
- Promote and uphold the standards and expectations of the A&E Mission and Values.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a veterinary setting.
- Passion for working with animals and providing excellent customer service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with a strong work ethic.
- Flexibility to work Monday through Friday and rarely on weekends.
Prior experience as a Veterinary Assistant is preferred with additional training provided.
