What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Office Customer Service position at A&A Wine and Spirits?
Job Overview:
The job of an Accounting & Pricing Customer Service employee is to assist in handling the store’s financial matters and help protect financial assets so the store can serve our customers. This role requires working with money and has a significant impact to overall financial operations. Additionally, you’ll provide incredible service by ensuring all items, displays, and end caps are properly and accurately signed throughout the store.
Duties:
- Lead with our values, always help others and ensure the Company remains a great place to work for all
- Checkout orders at a rate that meets store requirements, process different forms of payment and make accurate changes to ensure no overages or shortages of money; uphold state regulations and store policies during the sale of alcohol
- Perform pick-ups and readings to monitor sales and revenue throughout the day; break back and balance tills to set amount check for overages and shortages and look for reasons for discrepancies
- Prepare daily deposits for the bank, verify the previous day’s bank activities, and provide assistance with financial matters
- Balance and maintain money, verify that financials are accounted for and the store’s assets are protected while ensuring confidentiality
- Order, print and laminate signs in a timely manner and hang signs in accordance with state and Company regulations
- Ensure the store has accurate, well-maintained price tags and signs on shelves and displays
- Perform monthly store pricing audits to ensure verification of tags to store scanning data
- Properly use equipment and handle products, follow company job aids and processes/procedures, human safety guidelines and comply with the Company Policies and federal and state laws.
- Perform other tasks essential to the proper functioning of the operation as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Windows based software
- Must be 18 years of age to apply
Preferred Qualifications:
- Customer service, cashier, accounting office and/ or service desk experience, particularly in a grocery or retail setting
- Accounting experience
- Experience handling large sums of cash or other tender
