Job Overview
A & A Commercial Cleaning is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to service our Food Lion location in Kinston, NC. This position requires a strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and follow detailed cleaning procedures.
Schedule
- Store 1: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Sunday (5 days/week)
- Shift Time: 7:15 AM – 9:30 AM
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain all assigned areas including:
- Sales floor, vestibules, and seating areas
- Lunchroom and breakroom
- Manager’s office and corridors
- Cash office and service desk
- Garden coolers
- Sweep, mop, scrub, and burnish floors to company standards
- Perform detail cleaning of corners and edges on a rotating schedule
- Remove debris, stickers, and obstacles prior to cleaning
- Operate cleaning equipment such as walk-behind scrubbers and burnishers
- Follow proper cleaning procedures and use designated cleaning products
- Coordinate with store staff to access cleaning areas
- Report any issues or concerns to management
Requirements
- Previous janitorial or cleaning experience preferred (not required)
- Ability to work early morning shifts consistently
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Reliable transportation required
- Must be dependable and punctual
Experience
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and equipment is advantageous.
- Experience in floor care techniques such as buffing and scrubbing.
