Fence Installer / General Laborer
A-1 Kendrick Fence Company is hiring dependable, hardworking individuals to join our installation crews.
Experience is preferred, but not required. If you have construction, landscaping, fencing, or general labor experience, that is a plus. We are also willing to train the right person who shows up, works hard, and wants to learn a trade.
Since 1966, our mission has been simple:
Protect and enhance our community with quality fencing.
We install residential, commercial, and industrial fencing throughout Mississippi. This is a hands-on outdoor position for someone who wants steady, full-time work and an opportunity to grow with an established company.
Job Responsibilities
- Install wood, chain link, ornamental, vinyl, and other types of fencing
- Dig and prepare post holes
- Set fence posts and mix/pour concrete
- Carry and organize fence materials
- Load and unload trucks and trailers
- Use hand tools and power tools
- Assist with jobsite setup and cleanup
- Follow instructions from Crew Leaders and supervisors
- Maintain company tools and equipment
- Follow company safety procedures
- Keep jobsites clean and organized
- Help complete projects efficiently and to company standards
What We're Looking For
- Dependable and willing to show up every day
- Strong work ethic
- Willingness to work outdoors in heat, cold, and changing weather
- Able to take direction and work as part of a crew
- Construction or fencing experience is preferred but not required
- Valid driver's license is preferred
- Dependable transportation to our office each day
- Skid steer or equipment experience is a plus
- Willingness to learn and take on more responsibility
Physical Requirements
This is a physically demanding job.
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
- Regular lifting and carrying of materials weighing 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to work on uneven terrain
- Frequent bending, squatting, reaching, lifting, and carrying
- Ability to perform outdoor physical labor throughout the workday
