Auto Parts Counter Sales Associate
We're looking for a dependable, motivated individual to join our team at our locally owned auto parts store. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping customers, learning about automotive parts, and working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers in person and over the phone.
- Look up automotive parts using electronic parts catalogs.
- Recommend the correct parts based on customer needs.
- Process customer transactions accurately.
- Stock shelves and maintain organized inventory.
- Receive, unload, and put away incoming freight shipments.
- Mix automotive paint as needed (training provided).
- Help keep the store clean, organized, and well stocked.
- Assist with lifting, carrying, and moving automotive parts and supplies.
- Make occasional local deliveries to customers when needed.
- Help customers load larger or heavier items.
- Perform basic automotive services, including battery testing, battery installation, and windshield wiper blade replacement when needed.
- Work as part of a team and assist with other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Automotive parts knowledge is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong work ethic with dependable attendance.
- Ability to walk, bend, squat, and lift throughout the workday.
- Availability to work Saturdays as needed.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
