Parts Dismantler
A-1 Auto Recyclers has proudly served the Rapid City area for over 50 years as a locally owned, family-operated auto recycling business. We are looking for a dependable, self-motivated team member who enjoys hands-on work and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate has a solid automotive background and can identify vehicle parts and components with minimal supervision. This position combines automotive dismantling, parts delivery, warehouse support, and general shop responsibilities. Every day is different, and there are opportunities to grow within the company.
Responsibilities
- Dismantle automotive parts and components
- Deliver parts locally, including doors, engines, transmissions, and smaller items
- Assist shipping staff with packaging and preparing orders
- Help maintain accurate inventory
- Perform general shop and warehouse duties as needed
- Work indoors and outdoors year-round
Qualifications
- Must have automotive knowledge and be familiar with vehicle components and systems
- Must have your own hand tools and some power tools
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings
- Ability to safely lift heavy items up to 75 lbs
- Automotive experience preferred
- Forklift experience is a plus
Benefits
- Starting pay: $18–$20 per hour DOE/Q
- Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
