Early Morning Baker
9oh6 Baking Co. is seeking a skilled and reliable Early Morning Baker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 1–3 years of experience in a bakery or similar environment, with a strong background in preparing and shaping breads and pastries.
In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality baked goods including sourdough loaves, baguettes, whole wheat breads, viennoiserie (croissants, brioche, danishes), pastries, and cakes. You will play a key part in maintaining our commitment to exceptional quality, consistency, and food safety standards.
Greet customers with a smile and assist them with product selection, answer questions about ingredients and provide excellent service
This position requires a passion for baking, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in an early-morning production environment.
Schedule: Wednesday – Saturday, 2:00 AM – 10:00 AM
What We’re Looking For
- Strong baking technique and knowledge of bread and pastry production, including sourdough, croissants, and danishes
- Kitchen savvy with a solid understanding of weights, measurements, and volumes
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to consistency and quality
- Clean and organized work habits with a focus on food safety and sanitation
- Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, reaching, and twisting
Required Qualifications
- Culinary degree or certification preferred
- 1–3 years of experience in a bakery or restaurant environment
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and handle bakery equipment and supplies
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Strong reading and math skills
- Ability to read and follow recipes accurately
- Well-organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Creativity and interest in developing new and seasonal baked goods
- Must be at least 18 years old
