Purchasing Specialist
Summary:
We’re hiring a Purchasing Specialist responsible for developing product assortments using market trends and sales history analysis information. The ideal candidate must have strong communication and analytical skills to perform the following tasks under management supervision: Contract Negotiations, Inventory Management, Purchasing Planning, Forecasting, Monitor/Manage Sales and Margins.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and analyze customer preferences, including domestic and international industry trends.
- Analyze competitors’ activities to generate new product recommendations and ideas.
- Perform supplier evaluation according to prices, quality, and other requirements to find prospective new vendors, factories, and brand partnerships.
- Negotiate terms and prices with suppliers to acquire the best deal for our company.
- Complete the necessary paperwork for new supplier setup and new product setup.
- Ensure the timely delivery of products and compliance with the current contracts.
- Make sure that merchandise meets quality standards and customer expectations.
- Monitor stock levels and make plans for purchasing within budget.
- Arrange promotional events for products.
- Work closely with the marketing department and operations team to ensure the precise execution of those promotion programs.
- Work with suppliers and other involved departments to resolve procurement-related problems and issues.
- Communicate potential solutions and business problems to management.
- Create reports on Sales, Budgets, and Customer Satisfaction.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualification:
- BA/BS degree in Business Administration or a related field is required.
- 3 years of experience in sourcing and supplier management.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
- Solid interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with suppliers, team members via telephone, email and video conference.
- Able to use intermediate to advanced Excel functions for data analysis purposes.
- Familiarity with market research, data analysis and forecasting techniques.
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Compensation:
The pay range for this job is between $65,000 and $70,000 per year. This is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) the responsibilities of the job, your education, skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
