- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of docks, piers, seawalls, and other marine structures using hand tools and power tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to execute project plans accurately.
- Operate heavy equipment such as cranes, excavators, and barges safely to move materials and position structural components.
- Perform construction inspection tasks to ensure compliance with safety standards, project specifications, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct concrete forming, finishing, masonry work, and steel fabrication necessary for marine structures.
- Install plumbing systems, electrical wiring, glass panels, doors, flooring, tile laying, and other finishing elements to complete projects.
- Support site safety protocols by maintaining a clean work environment, using caulking and plastering techniques for waterproofing and sealing joints.
- Collaborate with project managers on construction management tasks including estimating materials and scheduling work phases.
- Operate hand tools such as hammers, saws, drills; utilize power tools for precise assembly and installation tasks.
- Assist in restoration efforts after storms or damage by performing repairs on existing marine infrastructure.
- Proven experience working on construction sites with a focus on marine or waterfront projects.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction management principles.
- Skilled in operating heavy equipment such as cranes or excavators; certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of concrete finishing techniques including forming and pouring processes.
- Ability to perform welding, masonry, carpentry (including trim carpentry), roofing, stucco application, and glass installation.
- Experience with plumbing systems, electrical wiring (including schematics), flooring installation, tile laying, and restoration work preferred.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely; experience with Bluebeam software is advantageous for digital plan review.
- Strong understanding of safety standards related to construction inspection and site safety protocols.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
