This is a great opportunity for a highly analytical, process-driven and collaborative professional to drive consistency, efficiency and maturity across architecture practices in a complex, global organisation. This is a full-time role with flexible working arrangements available, and is to be based in either our Brisbane, Perth or Montreal Hub. Reporting to the General Manager Enterprise Architecture and working in a collaborative, global team within the Enterprise Architecture function, you will: Lead the design and continuous improvement of enterprise architecture processes, governance frameworks, and operating models Establish scalable engagement models between Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Product Groups, and Service Functions Own and evolve the Enterprise Architecture Management (EAM) capability, aligning people, process, data, and technology Act as Technical Owner for LeanIX, driving adoption, data quality, and continuous platform improvement Enable integration and alignment across key platforms including ServiceNow, Apptio, SharePoint, and emerging AI capabilities Produce insights and reporting on application portfolios, lifecycle risks, technical debt, and cost drivers to support executive decision-making Facilitate governance forums and communities of practice to drive alignment, reuse, and architectural consistency Build strong relationships with enterprise stakeholders to influence outcomes and improve how architecture supports the business About you To be successfully considered for this opportunity, candidates must be able to demonstrate: A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team Demonstrated experience in enterprise, solution, or business architecture within a large, complex environment Strong capability in process improvement, governance, and operating model design Experience working with enterprise architecture tooling (e.g. LeanIX, Bizzdesign, Orbus, Enterprise Architect or similar), alongside experience of Work and Workflow Management solutions (including Azure DevOps, Jira or similar) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and present complex data to senior stakeholders Proven stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate across technical and non-technical audiences  What we offer  Be recognised for your contribution, your thinking and your hard work, and go home knowing you’ve helped the world progress.  A work environment where safety is always the number one priority  A permanent position working directly for Rio Tinto  A competitive base salary reflective of your skills and experience with annual incentive program   Comprehensive medical benefits including subsidised private health insurance for employees and immediate family                 Attractive share ownership plan  Company provided insurance cover  Extensive salary sacrifice & salary packaging options  Career development & education assistance to further your technical or leadership ambitions   Ongoing access to family-friendly health and medical wellbeing support   Leave for all of life’s reasons (vacation/annual, paid parental, sick & cultural leave)  Exclusive employee discounts (banking, accommodation, cars, retail and more)  Where you’ll be working Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) is a global function delivering integrated and critical IT services and support to Rio Tinto’s mines, refineries, smelters, remote operations centres and corporate offices.
