What are the responsibilities and job description for the Access Control Officer position at 907 Tactical Training Solutions-Security Group LLC?
Access Control Officers are either Level 1, 2, or 3 Uniformed Security Officers. An ACO’s primary job duties consist in manning a front desk or secured area and maintaining a continuous presence for access control. ACO’s provide physical security to high value or sensitive areas needing controlled access, and ACO’s may check credentials, monitor security cameras, and interact with the public or other Client employees. ACO’s are trained in the use of non-lethal and lethal Use of Force depending on their security level and weapons certifications. ACO’s deter and report crimes, may lawfully detain and arrest persons who commit crimes on Client property, and work with local law enforcement in submitting reports and transferring custody of suspects who trespass or commit crimes while on Client property. ACO’s shall submit Daily Activity Reports and Incident Reports as necessary. ACO’s report to either the ACO Supervisor or Operations Manager, and may receive field training from a qualified FTO (Field Training Officer) or FSO (Field Support Officer).

Responsibilities and Duties
- Patrolling and monitoring activities on Client properties and other premises regularly to discourage criminal activity and ensure the environment is safe and secure.
- Evicting trespassers and violators and detaining suspects/perpetrators while following legal protocols before relevant authorities arrive to take over.
- Cooperating/working with law enforcement in documenting criminal complaints and transferring custody of detained and/or arrested suspects.
- Providing detailed reports on daily activities and any incidents that may have occurred to client management and security supervisors.
- Inspect and patrol premises regularly.
- Respond to alarms and react in a timely manner.
- Provide assistance to people in need.
- Protect the public while on client property.
- Submit reports of daily surveillance activity.
- Maintain regular training standards and relevant security qualifications and certifications.
- Accomplishing daily foot patrols and tasks correctly, thoroughly, and efficiently
- Completes daily site checks on the Security App
- Interacts with clients and public professionally
- Maintains relevant qualifications
- No direct supervisory role
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 18 years old.
Clean background with no criminal convictions.
Physical strength and fitness.
Clean cut appearance and grooming standards required.
Strict moral and ethical code of integrity and honesty.
Minimum one-year prior experience as a Security Officer.
Attention to detail.
Ability to operate security systems and emergency equipment.
Ability to safely operate company and emergency vehicles.
Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work alone with limited supervisor as well as to be a team player.
Ability to follow instructions from supervisors and to respect a Chain of Command.
Ability to solve problems as they arise.
Ability to react appropriately in stressful situations and to use De-escalation techniques.
Good understanding of legal guidelines for area security and public safety.
Ability to submit daily written reports.
Outstanding surveillance and observation skills.
Trained in First Aid/BLS and self-defense (training is also provided).
Trained in legal Use of Force (training is also provided).
