903 Billiards is a pool hall in downtown Longview, TX. We host regular leagues and tournaments, occasional large playoffs and tournaments and offer a full bar and food service. We provide an outstanding billiards experience in an extremely clean and smoke-free environment.
We are looking for a reliable, friendly, fast-paced WAITER/WAITRESS to join our team on a part-time basis.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Greet customers, learn customer preferences, answer questions, take drink/food orders, and recommend menu items
- Attend to customer needs/orders, serve beverages/food, and upsell when appropriate
- Check identification to ensure customers are of legal age if purchasing alcohol and for minors during late hours
- Monitor and regulate customers for appropriate levels of alcohol consumption
- Follow all food safety and quality regulations
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensure charges are accurate, return correct change to customers
- Maintain a clean work and dining area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and other cleanup tasks as needed
- Use the POS system to maintain tabs, cash sales, and track pool table assignments
- Assist Bartender by pulling stock as needed
- Regular nightly cleaning duties
- Other duties as needed or assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum 18 yrs of age, preferably with a HS diploma or GED
- Have and maintain required certifications (TABC & Tx Food Handler)
- Must be available to work weeknights, weekend days, and weekend nights
- Have a neat appearance and an engaging, friendly attitude
- Be efficient, observant, and able to work with and serve various personalities
- Have strong task and time management skills, basic math and computer skills
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Be able to pass a background check, free of any theft, assault, battery, or other violent crime convictions
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $7.25 - $18.00 per hour
