The Graphics Operator is responsible for the live execution and creative development of insert graphics across all studio and remote productions at PGA TOUR Studios. This role requires technical expertise in broadcast graphics systems, precision under pressure, and a strong understanding of live sports workflows. The Graphics Operator ensures that all visual elements—from real-time scoring to branded content—are delivered with accuracy, consistency, and creative impact. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s Degree or related technical education required. Minimum 3 years broadcast television or related experience at the regional to large market or network level. Experience with Chyron and Ross XPression, or similar platforms, including data integration and real-time graphics workflows. Strong understanding of live production timing, control room operations, and cue execution under pressure. Ability to build, edit, and manage graphic templates, lower thirds, and sponsor elements with editorial accuracy. Skilled in troubleshooting technical issues with graphics systems during live broadcasts. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with producers, directors, and technical teams. Commitment to brand consistency and attention to detail. Experience with scoring system interfaces is preferred. Sports production background preferred, specifically the game of golf. Excellent typing and spelling skills required. Excellent time management and organizational skills Understanding of video production as it pertains to font creation and implementation. Schedule to include evenings, weekends and holidays with weekly schedule primarily Wednesday – Sunday RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES Responsible to perform the operation of broadcast graphics systems (e.g., Chyron and Ross XPression) during live events, ensuring flawless execution of all visual elements. Manage real-time updates for scores, statistics, timing, and other dynamic data feeds, maintaining accuracy and responsiveness throughout the broadcast. Coordinate closely with producers and directors to execute graphics cues precisely as scripted or called in real time. Build, edit, and maintain graphic templates, lower thirds, sponsor elements, and other visual assets in alignment with editorial and branding guidelines. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with graphics systems quickly and effectively during live productions to avoid on-air disruptions. Ensure consistency with the PGA TOUR and broadcast brand standards across all graphic elements, including formatting, color, and typography. Adapt to evolving production needs and contribute to team-wide initiatives. Responsible for proficient operation of graphics system and all associated technical equipment. Responsible for graphic pre-builds and re-loads and ongoing consultation with the production staff as needed concerning the creation of graphic elements for various projects. Communicate all technical equipment problems immediately to Engineering through the maintenance reports and assist Engineering in location and identifying equipment problems as needed. Support special projects and contribute to cross-functional initiatives as needed.
