Clinical Systems Administrator

Hours of Work : 8:00-16:30 Days Of Week : Mon-Fri Work Shift : 8X5 Day (United States of America) Job Description : Job Purpose Responsible for the management and administration of all non-DICOM associated Clinical Systems which communicate (Send & Receive) HL7 data to the Health System Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Clinical Systems being defined as on-premises cloud-based systems which are designed to collect vital signs or other clinical data from biomedical devices and forward that data to the Health System Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. Act as a liaison in clinical equipment initiatives within patient care departments, other hospital departments, medical staff and other enterprise partners. Demonstrates Knowledge and Understanding of Clinical System Design and Deployment: Receiving general direction from the Assistant Vice-President of Biomedical Engineering and Team-Leader for Integrated Clinical Systems. The Clinical Systems Administrator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating existing system operation and participating in new integrated Clinical System initiatives. Supports the mission, vision, values and strategic goals of Methodist Health System. Job Requirements: Education: Graduate of an academically accredited Biomedical Engineering Technical program Licenses and/or Certifications: N/A Work Experience: 3 years’ experience in Clinical Device integration. Basic understanding of Clinical Devices inter-operate in a networked environment.
