Work Shift: I. Position Summary: Responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality healthcare in Imaging Services and assist in the performance of other duties. Provides quality patient care in a manner consistent with a safe and professional environment with primarily high-risk and critically ill patients of all ages. Performs patient care duties associated with invasive procedures of all disease processes, and maintains procedural statistical documentation on all cases. A competent RT may place PICC lines under the physician’s direction and supervision. This position functions in a highly specialized and unique area and must be available to participate in the on-call rotation covering weekends, holidays and various weekdays. Employee promotes service excellence. II. Qualifications: A. Education & Training: Graduate of an accredited School of Radiology. A RT who places PICC lines will have successfully completed a PICC line placement course. B. Experience: One (1) year experience as a Radiology Technologist or Interventional experience. C. Required Certification/Registration/Licensure: Current ARRT registration. Current AHA/ARC BLS certification. Current AHA ACLS/ARC ALS or obtained within 9 months of hire. D. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Competent in the utilization of all standard radiographic equipment and supplies. A competent RT may place PICC lines under the physician’s direction and supervision. Employee will additionally be able to utilize suction machine, O2 tanks, IVACS, blood pressure cuffs, and have knowledge of cart with code supplies.
