We are seeking an experienced and personable Lead Cashier to oversee the checkout process and provide exceptional customer service. As a Lead Cashier, you will be responsible for supervising kitchen staff and cashiers, ensuring efficient transactions, and maintaining a welcoming dining experience for all customers.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily cashier operations, including supervising and training team members to ensure smooth checkout processes
- Operate POS systems accurately for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
- Assist customers with product demos and upselling to enhance their shopping experience
- Maintain cleanliness, stocking and organizing to ensure we exceed our guest expectations each visit/
- Handle cash handling procedures with accuracy and integrity
- Ensure excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries
- Support inventory management through stocking and inventory checks
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Lead by example in promoting a friendly, efficient, and professional store environment
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems and cashiering procedures
- Supervising experience in restaurant setting
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities preferred
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions and inventory management
- Customer service skills with a focus on creating positive dining experiences
- Upselling techniques to increase sales opportunities
