Cashier

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team at 9 Juan Juan Burritos. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to handle cash with precision. The Cashier will also assist in stocking shelves and maintaining a clean FOH and organized checkout area.

Duties

• Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions with accuracy.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers and addressing their needs promptly.
• Stock shelves and ensure that products are displayed neatly and attractively.
• Assist with product demonstrations to promote sales and engage customers.
• Maintain cleanliness at the checkout area and throughout the store.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding inventory levels and customer feedback.
• Utilize retail math skills to manage transactions, returns, and exchanges efficiently.
• Supervise junior staff members during peak hours to ensure smooth operations.
• Patio, FOH, Restroom, taking out trash, sweeping, mopping and other items Manager may assign throughout your shift.

Experience

• Previous experience in a restaurant is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with cash handling procedures and experience operating a cash register is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for interacting with customers and team members.
• Basic knowledge of retail math is beneficial for managing transactions accurately.
• Experience in supervising staff or conducting product demos is a plus but not mandatory.
