Position Summary:
The Sanitation Manager supports the Food Safety Department by leading and managing GFSI, Regulatory, Customer Audits and Identity Preserve Certifications for the plant.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages the organization and flow of master document revisions for the facility by revising documents as needed and on a schedule. Updates the master file and sends out notification of changes as well as triggers scheduled reviews of documents.
- Create and provide reports to QA Department to ensure information is up to date and audit ready.
- Understand and implement Customer requirements.
- Manages Internal Audit of Quality Management System to include Supplier Approval, Environmental Monitoring, Customer Complaints, and Document Control
- Manages the Alchemy training system by creating and managing group reports and creating site specific trainings to upload into the system to insure completion of requirements under SQF and IFS.
- Manages Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA) Log and Verification
- Manages Continuous Improvement Table
- Conducts audits and submittal of corrective actions.
- Assist with HACCP/Food Safety & Quality Plan as requested.
- Member of HACCP Team, Crisis Management Team, Recall Team, Management Team
- Maintain records for Quality and Food Safety Audits and assist in those audits.
- Facilitates and manages customer requests for our Identity Preserve Programs (Kosher, Halal, and Gluten Free)
- Leads special project assignments as necessary requiring extreme attention to detail and in-depth knowledge of the QA programs.
- Backs up the Quality Manager when needed.
- Manages all sanitation activities within the facility to include:
- Janitorial and Food safety Sanitation activities
- Pest Control Program leadership including relationship with Third party Pest Control provider, Pest control License, and documentation of all Pest Control Program requirements.
- Inventory of Sanitation and Pest Control resources such as chemicals, cleaning material, and janitorial supplies.
- Other duties, as assigned
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in food science, Engineering, Business Management, or related field AND 5 years’ experience in plant leadership position
- Previous team leadership experience in a food, beverage, or consumer packaging environment
- Previous experience forecasting, developing budgets, and developing metrics.
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:
- 2 years manufacturing food, beverage, or consumer packaging experience
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment and independently.
- Self-motivated and manages time efficiently.
- Demonstrates strong organizational skills.
- Pays close attention to detail and completes work accurately and efficiently.

Salary : $70,048 - $103,671
