As we continue scaling nationally, we are looking for a highly experienced Regional Fleet Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations across a large and rapidly growing fleet footprint.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced fleet maintenance leader to oversee regional fleet maintenance operations across hundreds of vehicles.

This role will be responsible for maximizing fleet uptime, improving maintenance quality and operational efficiency, reducing downtime and maintenance costs, and building scalable maintenance systems that support rapid growth.

You will oversee preventative maintenance programs, vendor management, repair operations, compliance, fleet readiness, and maintenance performance across multiple markets. You will also play a critical role in implementing technology, telematics, and automated workflows to improve operational visibility and scalability.

The ideal candidate has deep experience managing large-scale fleet maintenance operations in high-volume environments such as rental, logistics, transportation, telecom, utility, rideshare, or commercial fleet operations.

This is a highly operational and analytical leadership role requiring strong field operations experience, process discipline, vendor management, and cross-functional coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

Fleet Maintenance Operations

• Oversee maintenance operations across a large multi-market fleet consisting of hundreds of vehicles per market
• Maximize fleet uptime and operational readiness
• Lead preventative maintenance strategy and execution
• Reduce vehicle downtime, repair cycle times, and maintenance costs
• Ensure maintenance quality and consistency across all markets
• Build scalable maintenance processes and operational standards
  
  

Vendor & Repair Network Management

• Manage regional vendor and repair shop relationships
• Negotiate pricing, SLAs, and service standards
• Monitor vendor performance, quality, turnaround time, and cost efficiency
• Develop scalable repair network coverage to support market growth
  
  

Operational Performance & Analytics

• Build and monitor fleet maintenance KPIs and reporting
• Analyze maintenance trends, downtime drivers, warranty opportunities, and repair costs
• Improve forecasting for parts, repairs, and fleet availability
• Drive operational accountability through metrics and review cadences
  
  

Technology and Automation

• Implement fleet management technology, telematics, and maintenance systems
• Work with product and central ops teams to leverage automations to improve diagnostics, maintenance scheduling, reporting, and operational efficiency
• Reduce manual workflows and improve operational scalability
• Improve data visibility across fleet health and maintenance operations
  
  

Vehicle Lifecycle Management

• Oversee vehicle infleeting, inspections, registrations, renewals, and decommissioning workflows
• Coordinate vehicle deployment and fleet readiness across markets
• Ensure compliance with state, local, and company fleet requirements
• Partner with Operations to optimize fleet utilization and availability
  
  

Team Leadership

• Lead and develop regional maintenance personnel and vendor partners
• Build a culture of accountability, urgency, safety, and operational excellence
• Support technician and operations training initiatives
• Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Safety, Finance, Claims, and Launch teams
  
  

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure fleet maintenance operations comply with DOT, OSHA, manufacturer, and internal safety standards
• Improve inspection compliance and operational audit readiness
• Support incident investigations and vehicle safety escalations
• Maintain accurate maintenance and compliance records
  
  

Successful Candidates Will Bring:

• 7 years of fleet maintenance or fleet operations leadership experience
• Experience managing maintenance operations across large scale fleets
• Experience in high-volume fleet environments such as rental, logistics, rideshare, telecom, utility, delivery, or transportation operations
• Strong preventative maintenance and vendor management experience
• Deep understanding of fleet maintenance operations, diagnostics, repair workflows, and lifecycle management
• Experience managing multi-market or regional operations
• Strong analytical and KPI-driven operational mindset
• Experience implementing fleet systems, telematics, automation, or maintenance technologies
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, high-growth environments
• Willingness to travel regularly across markets
  
  

Compensation:

• Base Salary Range: $110k-$130k plus annual bonus and strong stock option award
