Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to join our staff. The ideal candidate will inspire students through engaging music lessons and foster a love for music in a supportive learning environment. This role involves teaching various musical concepts, developing lesson plans, and encouraging students to explore their musical talents.
Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that cater to different learning styles and abilities.
- Teach group music theory, and vocal techniques and/ or instrumental skills to students of varying ages.
- Create a positive lesson atmosphere that promotes creativity and self-expression.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to them and their parent/ guardian to enhance their musical development.
- Prepare your students for performances to showcase their achievements.
- Manage student behavior effectively while maintaining an engaging and fun learning environment.
Skills
- Proficiency in music theory and practical skills in one or more musical instruments. Our most requested instruments are piano, guitar, drums, ukulele, strings, and voice.
- Experience in lesson planning tailored for diverse age groups.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles to effectively teach young learners.
- Strong lesson and time management abilities to maintain an orderly and productive environment.
- Skills in behavior management techniques to support students' emotional and social growth.
- Bachelors degree or higher in music is preferred, but not required.
