Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Assistant Sprayer. In this role, you will work closely with our IPM Specialist to ensure the health and vitality of our cultivated plants. Your primary responsibilities will include the precise and timely application of pest management solutions, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with the IPM Manager to implement effective pest control strategies.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the IPM Manager to develop and implement pest control strategies tailored to the cultivation environment.
- Assist in the preparation and application of pest management solutions, including pesticides, biocontrol’s and organic treatments.
- Operate spraying equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring accurate application rates and coverage to target areas.
- Monitor and identify pest issues, diseases, and abnormalities in plant health, reporting findings to the IPM Manager.
- Maintain detailed records of all spraying activities, noting application rates, dates, and any observed changes in plant health.
- Work alongside the IPM Specialist to conduct regular inspections of cultivation areas and promptly address emerging pest and disease concerns.
- Assist in the evaluation of new pest control products and technologies to enhance overall IPM strategies.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines for the handling and application of pesticides and other pest control measures.
- Work with and report to IPM Manager

Required Skills/Abilities
- Must be 21
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately follow IPM protocols
- Knowledge of state and local regulations regarding cannabis cultivation and tracking.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the IPM Manager and Cultivation team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to operate and maintain spraying equipment and other relevant tools
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in horticulture, plant science, entomology, or related field preferred.
- Pesticide Applicator License or the ability to obtain one is desirable
- Previous experience in agriculture, horticulture, or a related field is preferred
- Basic understanding of plant biology and cultivation practices
- Knowledge of Integrated Pest Management principles and practices
- Familiarity with biological and chemical control methods and their appropriate use.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand and sit for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to climb ladders, work at heights and in high temperature rooms
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
