What You'll Do
Depending on your assigned position, you'll be responsible for producing and preparing high-quality bakery products while maintaining our commitment to food safety, consistency, and exceptional quality.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare, bake, decorate, assemble, or separate bakery products according to job role, company recipes, specifications, and quality standards.
- Measure, mix, prepare, and finish products while following established production procedures.
- Decorate cakes with precision while maintaining presentation and consistency standards (Cake Decorator).
- Separate, organize, package, and prepare finished bakery products for distribution and sale (Separator).
- Monitor product quality throughout the production process.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, Health Department, and company regulations.
- Properly operate, clean, and maintain bakery equipment.
- Work efficiently to meet daily production schedules and deadlines.
- Assist with inventory rotation and quality control.
- Cross-train and support other bakery or storefront departments as business needs require.
- Work collaboratively with store leadership and fellow associates.
- Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and follow all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Qualifications
We're looking for candidates who have:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous bakery, cake decorating, food production, restaurant, or kitchen experience preferred.
- Passion for creating high-quality bakery products.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to speak and understand conversational English.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a ServSafe Food Handler Certification (where required).
- Availability to work at least 20 hours per week for part time employees, 32 hours per for full time employees.
- Early morning, weekend, and holiday availability is strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements
This position requires frequent physical activity, including:
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Repetitive hand and wrist movements while preparing bakery products.
- Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting, and lifting.
- Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
- Working around hot ovens, bakery equipment, and temperature-controlled environments, including coolers and freezers.
