Concrete Finisher/ laborer

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Concrete Finisher/Laborer to join our construction team. This role involves working on various concrete projects, including finishing, forming, and related tasks across commercial and residential sites. The ideal candidate will have experience in concrete work, construction site operations, and a strong understanding of safety protocols. Candidates with a background in masonry, carpentry, or heavy equipment operation are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities

• Finish concrete surfaces using hand tools and power tools to achieve smooth, level finishes according to project specifications
• Install rebar and perform concrete forming to prepare for pouring and finishing operations
• Operate concrete mixers, pumps, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently
• Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute project plans
• Assist with installation of masonry elements such as stucco, tile laying, or metal stud framing as needed
• Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment while maintaining safety standards
• Apply caulking, trim carpentry, and plastering techniques to enhance finished surfaces
• Support renovation projects by performing demolition, restoration, or framing tasks as required
• Maintain a clean worksite by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly

Qualifications

• Proven experience in concrete finishing, formwork, or related construction roles
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, schematics, and blueprint reading is preferred
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and construction safety protocols
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding environments for extended periods
• Construction site experience with a focus on masonry, restoration, or commercial projects is advantageous
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow detailed instructions and schematics
• Relevant skills such as welding, roofing, flooring installation, tile laying, or metal stud framing are a plus
• Valid driver's license for commercial driving or equipment operation may be required depending on project needs
