What are the responsibilities and job description for the Window Technician position at 84 Lumber Company?
Summary/Objective
As a Window Technician you are primarily responsible for ensuring that window services and warranties are completed to the standards that 84 Lumber expects. These include but are not limited to: staging orders, prepping openings, complying with 84 Lumber’s installation methods for window reglazes, screen outs, window adjustments, and job site clean-up. This position will be required to work with store personnel to achieve maximum efficiency, use 84Sales for jobsite maintenance and record-keeping, and mitigating losses to 84 Lumber through proper installation methods. They must also comply with all OSHA regulations.

- Basic computer skills and ability to use website-based scheduling systems from mobile devices.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This position involves working outdoors or being exposed to wet, humid, extremely hot or extremely cold conditions. This position may require working in a highly precarious place or near moving mechanical parts. The position may be exposed to vibrations, airborne particles or toxic chemicals. There may be a risk of electrical shock.
Physical Demands
Requires frequent standing, sitting, walking, use of hands, reaching, lifting, talking and listening. Periodically, this position climbs, balances, stoops, kneel, crouches and crawls.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Hours of work depends on hours of operations, 40 hours per week.
Travel
Local travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience and/or training
Must have valid Drivers License.
Must have clean driving record.
Must meet minimum age requirements to operate vehicle as needed.
